Our Approach

Kits in the Community is Sunday Scout's give back initiative, created to help deliver emergency preparedness kits to key workers in rural and remote communities. Through our planned pay it forward function, customers will be able to fund a kit for someone working in an essential frontline role, including community nurses, care workers, emergency workers, and educators.

These are the people who keep communities going, often travelling long distances in difficult conditions to support others. In rural and remote areas, sudden poor weather, road disruption, power cuts, and limited access to supplies can quickly turn an ordinary working day into a challenging situation. A practical emergency kit can offer vital support, reassurance, and greater safety when help is not immediately nearby.

A community nurse visiting mobility-restricted patients in the Highlands during winter, for example, may find themselves stranded on a country road in worsening weather with limited resources. Kits in the Community is designed to help ensure that people in roles like these have access to practical emergency essentials - at no additional cost to those who need them most.
